It doesn't matter where your loyalties are found, sports fans in Boulder can watch their favorite sports teams at these great sports bars. While not all of these are strictly sports bars, each has a unique opportunity on the next game day, to belly up to any of these bars and get your cheer on.
The Dark Horse
The World Famous Dark Horse has been a Boulder landmark since 1975. The food includes Boulder’s Best Burgers and Boulder’s Best Wings! The Jiffy Burger, and 3-joint wings. From sandwiches to salads. Everyone will find something they like and will not leave hungry! The USA Today proclaims The World Famous Dark Horse as one of the “Places to eat a burger worthy of paradise” by the USA Today.
Backcountry Pizza & Tap House
Backcountry Pizza & Tap House has one of Boulder, Colorado's widest selection of draft microbrews. Over 60 beers on draft, and new rotating taps every day. More than 300 bottles to choose from so you'll have no trouble finding exactly what kind of brew you want. Add to that the wide selection of appetizers, pizza, and awesome burgers. With an abundance of screens located throughout the restaurant, this definitely is a great sports bar.
The Sink
The Sink is a Boulder institution that's sustained decades of change, and remained a stalwart in the community. Apparently it's unique enough that famous people like President Obama, Guy Fieri, and Anthony Bourdain have visited, but I don't think they hung out for the sports. Located on "The Hill", which is what locals call this area/neighborhood also called University Hill due to its proximity to the University of Colorado Boulder. This might be considered somewhat of a dive bar but it's typically full of CU students, and it is packed on game days. The Sink has great burgers and other tasty food you'd expect from a good tavern, and is definitely worth checking out, no matter who you are rooting for while watching a game. (But it better be the CU Buffs!)
Bluff Street Bar & Billiards
How's this for a sports bar? Depending on capacity, Bluff Street may decide to close its pool tables on Sundays during the NFL season while games are being played.
With NFL Sunday ticket, the SEC Network, and the Big 10 Network on DirecTV, Bluff Street makes sure you can access all the action.
This is a great place to go for sports viewing while avoiding the college students and Pearl Street. And if it's not too crowded why not shoot pool while watching your favorite sports teams compete?
Pearl Street Pub & Cellar
Located on the Pearl Street Mall, the Pearl Street Pub and Cellar offers locals everything they could ever want in a dive bar. Bar games, good music, a crowd of familiar faces and cheap bar food make the Pub a popular retreat.
Things are always hopping at the Pearl Street Pub! Also, they consistently includ sporting events, like NFL games for you.
