Boulder County has removed the requirement to have a college degree from over 80 of its job classifications. The County concluded that college degrees were not necessary for many of its Boulder County government positions.
The decision was a result of a review of all the county's job classifications requiring a post-secondary degree. Some examples of job classifications which will no longer require a college degree include communications specialist, human services program manager, volunteer coordinator, wildfire mitigation specialist, and several more.
