Showing Your Home
When it’s time to show your home, my advice as your Boulder Realtor, is to consider the following tips:
- When leaving the house in the morning or during the day, leave it as if you know its going to be shown.
- Fill the house with a pleasing scent, but be certain it’s very subtle. A nice way to accomplish this is with vanilla extract.
- Make sure that all the lights are on and window treatments are open.
- Turn off the television.
- Keeps pets out of the way_ preferably out of the house. Many people are
- uncomfortable around animals and may even be allergic to them. The optimum solution is to remove pets from the house.
- Leave the premises. Take a short break while your home is being shown. Buyers are intimidated when sellers are present and tend to hurry through the house. Let the buyers look around at ease, and let the agents do their job.
